I happened to catch a beautiful time of day near Anoka-Ramsey Community College. It was the perfect time of day, with the sun setting and lighting up the fall colors. This cluster of trees stood out, seeming to be caught in a spotlight, with the Birch taking center stage. Birch requires plenty of sunlight and does not tolerate shade, so it seems fitting that it would be one of the last trees in the sunshine before night falls.
Sunsets that come after turbulent weather seem to have a particularly nice effect, with the sun lighting up all the tall clouds and making everything yellow. This timelapse captures that.
